Hi, I’m the mum behind The Bougie Child.

 I’ve worked in education for a very long time, and I’ve always had a bit of a soft spot for kids, creativity and the wonderfully chaotic little world of childhood.

I also really love fashion, pop culture and words.

Give me a good pun, a clever play on words, a pop culture reference or a slogan that makes you stop and think “Oh… I get it!” and I’m happy.

And that's really where The Bougie Child came from.

I wanted to create items that felt a little different. Pieces that were stylish enough for the grown-ups but still had that sense of fun and mischief that belongs to childhood.

Some designs are inspired by pop culture.
Some are ridiculous.
Some are a little cheeky.
Some are just words I thought were funny.

But they're all designed to make you smile.
